The group also revealed details about the new album
Slipknot is officially back for a new cycle! This Thursday, the 16th, the group released the new song "Unsainted" with a wicked music video showing the members' new masks .
Directed by percussionist M. Shawn Crahan , the video first shows vocalist Corey Taylor with his new translucent mask that reveals his painted face underneath, as well as having his hair loose.
Some members followed the model from previous albums and kept almost identical masks, such as guitarists Mick Thomson and James Root , and the sampler Craig Jones . Crahan still has the clown look, but this time with a dark mask.
“This is the album where we had the most time to record and work together. One of my inspirations was seeing artists who record complete albums, not just songs. While the music industry is moving towards singles, Slipknot wants to give a complete experience, from beginning to end,” said guitarist James Root.
